I love to study, and I love to learn. I love to learn new techniques and tools to help my clients, but mostly I love to learn for my own personal development and pleasure.
When I started learning kinesiology all those years ago, I had a feeling of excited and joy in my heart and whole body from the first moment I started.
As much as I have learned over the years since, nothing brought me that same sense of excitement until recently when I started learning Hypnotherapy. I don’t know if it was the teacher or the tools, but the feeling was the same… so much excitement at the prospect of learning something so powerful that I could use for myself, my family and my clients.
And of course, my teacher was the amazing Paul McKenna who is a renowned Hypnotherapist and arguable one of the most famous on the planet.
As soon as I learned a new tool in this course, I was implementing it into my kinesiology session when it was needed. It slotted in so perfectly and I found there is a truly synergistic relationship between Kinesiology and Hypnotherapy.
- Both communicate with the unconscious mind.
- Both help release old, negative, and outdated thoughts and traumas.
- Both help to create new, healthy thoughts and habits to enable you to live the best version of yourself.
So of course, they both fit wonderfully together.
And now that I have completed my certification and already started to see clients both for Hypnotherapy and for combined Kinesiology / Hypnotherapy sessions I am seeing some powerful, fast shifts.
So, what is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy essentially places a person into a relaxed Hypnotic Trance to enable a change in the unconscious programming of the mind.
A hypnotic trance is quite a natural state for pretty much all humans. And is essentially a state of deep relaxation. Think about a time you were so engrossed in a TV show or movie that you didn’t hear someone calling you… that is a state of hypnotic trance. You were so focused on one thing, that you weren’t aware of anything outside of the one thing you were focused on.
A hypnotic trance can also be described as an altered state of consciousness from your everyday, awake state of consciousness.
What happens during a session?
To begin with, we need to discuss what it is you wish to work on.
- Is it releasing an unhealthy habit or creating a healthy habit?
- Is it releasing stress, anxiety or depression?
- Is it releasing a trauma or conditioning from the past or another life?
- Is it helping boost your creativity, productivity, or motivation?
- Is it helping you improve yourself so that you can be the best sportsperson, speaker, manager, or anything else you wish to be?
- Is it helping you to move beyond your current limitations so that you can begin to live the life you truly feel you are destined to live?
- Is it going on a journey to discover more about how your mind works and where conditioning and thinking patterns may have originated?
- Or is it something else?
Once we have determined what it is you wish to achieve during the session, I will help you to relax by guided you through a visualisation activity. This can be done either seated or lying down and in person or online.
At all times, you are fully aware and can open your eyes if you wish to come out of the trance.
I then talk to and converse with your unconscious mind and may use different techniques to help your unconscious process, release, and level up to a new way of thinking.
I then awaken you with this new programming ready to face the world with a renewed sense of purpose, clarity and energy.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed depends on what we are working on, and how well you respond. There is no way of knowing before the sessions start. And Hypnotherapy is not magic, there needs to be a genuine desire from you that you want to make the changes and are committed to following through.
Can you make me do things I don’t want to do?
The answer to this is no. You are fully aware at all times and your unconscious mind wants to keep you safe, so it won’t allow anyone to do anything you don’t wish.
How does Hypnotherapy work with Kinesiology?
These are my favourite kinds of sessions! Kinesiology allows me to talk to your unconscious mind through muscle testing. You are fully alert during this time and can feel the changes in your body. I will use all the usual kinesiology tools to help align and release any blockages before I take you into a Hypnotic Trance… which feels like a deeply relaxing meditation.
There may be times that I do a lot of talking, and there may be times you talk or respond with information. The session will always be based around your needs and comfort levels.
