How Corporate Kinesiology can help your staff while increasing productivity

Corporate Kinesiology is a new way to educate and empower your staff to become more productive and creative while also encouraging a healthy mindset and emotional balance.

Kinesiology is a wholistic modality that looks at how emotions affect our thinking ability and our physical bodies. Bringing workshops and sessions into your company is a fantastic way to show your staff you care for their wellbeing while also giving them practical tools that will make a difference.

Kinesiology will help your staff gain awareness of their emotional and mental needs so that they can take matters into their own hands. This awareness will help them know when they need help and how they can help themselves so that they can get back to work quickly.

The easy to do movements of Brain Gym as well as rubbing pressure points allows your staff to rebalance their minds and bodies at any time and can even be done at their desk.

And the benefits? There are many but the most crucial to a working environment is increased creativity, productivity, emotional stability, levity and better decision-making abilities.

One of my favourite movements is called Thinking Caps or Auriculars. This movement helps to release tight neck muscles that could be causing tension or pain as well as integrating our auditory processing systems.

To begin with, gently turn your head from side to side and notice any tension in your neck. Notice which side may not have as much movement as the other. Then, when you head is facing forward, using your thumb and index finger start “unrolling” your ears from the top, moving your way down your ear until you work your way around the whole ear, giving them a little tug when you get to the ear lobe. Repeat two more times. You can check out my YouTube Video here if you want to see it in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMyChtRxPLw&t=1s

Once you have finished, gently move your head from side to side to feel the difference in your neck muscles.

This a great movement to do when you have been sitting at your desk for long periods of time or driving in peak hour traffic as poor posture can cause tension and pain.

Bringing in personal, one on one sessions at your workplace is also highly beneficial. Most full-time employees don’t have time to see anyone about their emotional wellbeing outside of work hours, but allowing them a 45 minute session during work hours will do wonders for their emotional wellbeing and productivity. In the privacy of a one on one session, an employee has the chance to open up about anything they wish to discuss and to learn techniques or tools to help them release emotions.

So here are two very powerful ways to help your staff in a new and innovative way as well as increase productivity.

And as I always like to say, a Happy Employee is a Productive Employee!
